Online Therapy Works is an Irish, therapist-owned practice offering counselling and psychotherapy by secure video. With over 50 carefully selected therapists, we make it easier to find experienced, professional support, wherever you live.
Why online
Good therapy should not depend on where you live or how your week looks.
Online therapy means no commute, no waiting room, and appointments that fit around work and family. It also gives you access to a wider choice of therapists, including specialists you might not otherwise be able to see locally.
You can continue with the same therapist if you move or travel, and research shows that online therapy can be just as effective as face-to-face sessions for many people and concerns.
Who we are
Our roots go back to 2002, when therapist, supervisor and trainer Stephen Vaughan established Mind and Body Works. Today, the practice has over 300 affiliated therapists across five centres in Dublin and Galway.
Our online service launched in 2020 and became Online Therapy Works in 2026, creating a dedicated practice for people seeking therapy online.
Our team includes over 50 accredited therapists, most based in Ireland, with different approaches and areas of expertise. Some work in highly specialised areas, while others support people with a broad range of concerns.
Stephen remains our Clinical Director, and every therapist is carefully selected for their training, professionalism and commitment to their clients.
How we work
We are owned and run by therapists, and our first responsibility is to the people who come to us for support. If we can help, we will. If another service would be more appropriate, we’ll do our best to point you in the right direction.
We believe therapy should be straightforward. No waiting lists, no GP referral, no subscriptions or bundles. Just clear fees, professional support and the freedom to choose what works for you.
You can browse our therapists, compare their experience, fees and availability, and book an appointment in minutes.
Your therapist will contact you within one working day to introduce themselves and arrange your secure video session. From there, you’ll agree on a schedule together, usually weekly or fortnightly.
Is this the right kind of support for me?
If something has been weighing on you and you’re thinking about talking to someone, that is reason enough. You don’t need a label or a crisis to start.
Finding the right therapist matters. You can take your time exploring our profiles, or simply tell us a little about what’s going on and we’ll help you find someone who suits your needs.
Our administration team is available by phone or email, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, to answer questions and help you get started.
